Why Did You Choose Oncology?

To provide empathy and to make a difference in the lives and families of patients that we provide care for.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Working at FWMOH?

The patients are the main reason why I enjoy my position. Also, the support and care of all the MD’s and staff at FWMOH make coming to work enjoyable. It is exciting to see the growth and commitment of FWMOH to the Fort Wayne area and many out reach clinics that provide local to care to our patients.

What Excites You About the Future?

The advancements of treatment options and supportive care we can offer patients. After being a nurse for 40 years and an NP for 15 years, there has been a lot of advancement in the treatment options for many cancers and blood cancers. IT is so exciting to see how the molecular makeup of a cancer is and the potential to offer targeted therapy instead of chemotherapy. Immunotherapy has another layer of treatment options too.
