At Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology, we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of care. Our team of physicians and team members have your best interest in mind and are working diligently to implement processes that will limit the risk of exposure to any illness that may put you or your family members at risk. The COVID 19 virus is a challenge to each of us and requires us to be flexible and implement additional procedures to minimize risk and assure, to the best of our ability, the safety of our patients and staff.
We are closely monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and that of the Indiana and Allen County Department of Health. We are working closely with local emergency management personnel and other oncology practices across the United States to collaborate and share best practices during this difficult time. The questions we will ask of you and the steps we will take to assure your safety are in line with the recommendations of the CDC and our clinical partners.
During this time, we plan to stop you and any family members or visitors at our front door or check in desk and ask questions about recent travel and current symptoms. We will determine next steps after we have gathered that information.
We will need to limit all visitors as much as possible.
