Carrie Boots, RN, MSN, APRN-BC, OCN

Carrie Boots came to Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology in 2006 after serving as a registered nurse and clinical coordinator at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for eight years. She earned a master’s degree in nursing at Ball State University and has been an oncology-certified nurse since 2005.

Career highlights:

• Certified as an adult nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• Certified as an oncology nurse by the Oncology Nursing Society.
• Certified as a biotherapy and chemotherapy provider by the Oncology Nursing Society.
• Member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
• Member of the Oncology Nursing Society.

Education:

• Earned an associate degree in nursing at Lutheran College in Fort Wayne.
• Completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.
• Earned a master’s degree in nursing at Ball State University.

Other interests:

• Spending time with her husband and their three children. An avid sports fan, especially of the Indianapolis Colts.
